Rules to play Pizza tag

1. Chef must stand in the centre of play area.
2. Voice of Chef should be clear and loud.
3. Safety first. Make sure players run in the play area and don’t run into each other. Supervision is required.
4. Tagged ingredient must stand with their arms outstretched.

How to play Pizza tag?

1. Select Play area. If you want to play it indoors, clear enough space to ensure safety otherwise select flat and open area with clear boundaries when you’re outdoors.
2. Select “Chef”. The chef starts the game by standing in the middle of play area and speak “SUPREME” loudly. Supreme is the keyword which means all players must move to play area.
3. All remaining players are “Ingredients”. They spread out in the play area.
4. Role of Chef is to chase and tag ingredients.
5. Ingredients must run in the play area to avoid being tagged by chef. Tagged ingredients becomes the part of pizza and stand at one side of play area with his arms outstretched.
6. Last ingredient who left untagged wins the game or game overs when the time limit exceeds.

Twist in Pizza Tag

    Add fun twist in the game, assign different pizza toppings to all ingredients like Mushroom, Pepperoni and Olives etc. Now. The Chef call out specific topping, for example Olives, all ingredients who are assigned topping or live most move to play area.

    Chef now chase and tag Olive topping ingredients only. Once all are tagged, next topping is called out and the game continues. This twist adds an extra step of strategy and excitement to pizza tag.

Variations in Pizza Tag

1. Team Pizza tag: Divide players into two teams. Each team has chef and ingredients. Teams will play turn wise. The team with maximum untagged ingredients wins the game.
2. Blindfolded Chef: This is the most challenging variation where Chef is blindfolded. Chef is guided by ingredient’s voices and acts accordingly. This variation takes time to tag players and requires best communication and teamwork.
3. Musical pizza tag: music makes this game more fun. Chef can chase and tag players only when music is playing. When music stops, all players must freeze. Chasing and tagging begins again once music starts playing.
4. Topping challenges: assign different challenges to each topping when tagged. For example- Olive topping have to crawl when tagged and then join other tagged players to make the pizza.
5. Timed pizza tag: Set timer for each round. This benefits all players to get chance of becoming chef and ingredient also.
6. Obstacle pizza tag: To make pizza tag more complex, add different obstacles in the play area. Players should take care of obstacles to ensure safe play.
